Little Farmers

I took the boys to Hubers Farm on Friday. I have decided that we really have to do something (or go somewhere) every day in order to keep our sanity. Being in the house for too long seems to bring out their wild side. So we picked up NeNe and headed north. The 30 minute drive to Hubers is totally worth it. You could spend hours at this place. I have taken the kids to the u-pick farms here, but I have never taken them to the Family Farm Park. It was amazing. Picture acres upon acres of land with a petting zoo, mining company, pedal carts, playground, mountain slides, rope maze, and mini tractor rides. There is also an area where you can ride the ponies. The boys were in heaven here. The fed all of the animals (with the Hubers provided corn), then ran off to the playground, then to the inflatable slides, then to the rope maze, then to the mini tractors, and finally to the pony rides. It was like a whirlwind, but tons of fun.

I didn't think we would get Joe Finney on the horse, but he surprised us. He was a little nervous, but I am proud of him.

Byrd, on the other hand, couldn't wait for his turn to ride. He was big smiles all the way around.

Here they are watching the horse get groomed before they were able to ride. I can't stand how cute those two are!!

After playing for hours at the Family Farm, we went up and had a fabulous lunch at the Huber Winery. I would highly recommend making the trip up there before blackberry season is over and picking up some freshly picked blackberries and peaches (or, even better, pick them yourself). That's it for now.
